Dr. Lucille Montes, clinical psychologist, said the following in her anti-reproductive health bill seminar:

“Contraceptives lead to sex-on-demand, which in turn will lead to the abuse of women.”

My main problem with this statement is it implies men are always the initiators of sex, and women always the passive acceptors.

It implies that a woman would only have sex as a duty to her husband. It implies that the man would always be the one to suggest to have sex, while the woman would be the one to say yes or no depending on whether she is fertile or not.

Therefore, according to Dr. Montes, if a woman is under contraception, then she would have no reason to say no, and the man would be free to fuck her whether she likes it or not (read: rape).
